Founder of Spice in the Box, Rachel Gohil, grew up watching her grandmother cook traditional Indian recipes that were handed down through the family.

However, when she went away to university and started cooking for herself, it was a challenge to find and blend all the spices together for the Indian food she enjoyed.

Many years later, when her own children went to university, Rachel realised that they would face exactly the same cooking issues as their mum! The difference was that now, with a background in new product development in the food industry as well as the knowledge of all those wonderful family recipes, Rachel could help.

She set about creating collections of the freshest of ingredients, and mixing them into carefully-balanced flavour combinations that she knew would help her children to create tasty authentic dishes so much more easily.

And so the idea for Spice-in-the-Box was born. And, today, using our range of spice sachets, you too can enjoy creating delicious Indian food without the hassle of finding, buying and blending your own spices.
